Starship Rentals Policies

Rental Term- The rental period is on a month-to-month basis or for another term based on prevailing rates until either party terminates as per agreement terms.

Late Payment-
Late payment incurs an administrative fee, with the Client responsible for related costs and administrative time charged at the prevailing labor rate.

Access- Access to items is during business hours as posted. Access may be denied until outstanding payments are cleared.

Insurance- The Client must insure stored goods against perils, and Starship isn't liable for any damage or loss, with the Client agreeing to hold Starship harmless.

Maintenance & Repair- Customer-provided containers will be maintained in a good condition. We will maintain and repair containers or storage space as required.

Subletting- This storage agreement is not transferable or may be sublet to others during the term of this agreement.

Termination & Renewal-
Either party can terminate with a one-month notice. Clients must inform us one month before agreement expires to extend agreement.

Hazardous Material- Hazardous materials are strictly prohibited on the property.  Hazardous material includes but is not limited to items declared as hazardous by federal, provincial, or municipal law. Any machinery must be without oil or fuel while in storage.

Forklift Rental- If you require use of our forklift, please book it online at least one day in advance. You can do this by visiting our website homepage and clicking “Book an Appointment” in the top right corner.  Advance booking helps ensure availability and the best rate. Requests made without a reservation are subject to availability and higher rates.  Forklift use with staff operator is reservation ONLY.

Permitted use- All general household products, business inventory, documents, and other non-hazardous items and legally acquired goods are permitted. No illegal products, substances, or negotiable instruments of any kind may be permitted on the property.

Permitted Weight-
The maximum weight limits:
Pallets on shelf storage Max 3000 lbs.
Pallets on floor storage max 5000 lbs.
20 Ft. containers 20K lbs.
40 Ft. containers 40K lbs.

Removal of Locker Items- Upon termination, whether initiated by Starship or the Client, the Client shall promptly remove all contents from the storage locker no later than the effective date of termination. Failure to collect the stored items shall be considered abandonment of the property. In such instances, Starship may, at its discretion, proceed with the disposal of the abandoned contents as allowed by applicable laws and regulations. Starship shall make reasonable efforts to notify the Client of the impending disposal and provide a final opportunity for collection. If the Client fails to respond or retrieve their belongings within the specified timeframe, Starship reserves the right to dispose of the contents. Any costs incurred in the disposal process shall be borne by the Client, and such expenses will be charged back to the Client.

Refundable Security Deposit- A refundable security deposit is required at the start of your rental term. This deposit helps ensure the space is maintained and all rental terms are met.
Your deposit will be fully refunded at the end of your term provided that:
  • All payments are up to date
  • The space is clean and in satisfactory condition
  • No damage has occurred beyond normal wear and tear
  • All personal contents have been removed before the end of the rental term
  • All terms of the agreement have been fulfilled
Deposits are returned after a final inspection of the space.
